Are you ready for your Regulatory Examination? The FAIS Act and its supplementary rules require Key Individuals and sole proprietors in all Categories responsible for managing and overseeing a business relating to the rendering of financial services for FSPs in Category I, II, IIA, III and IV to pass the industry’s Regulatory Examinations. This course aims to assist learners in preparing for their Regulatory Examination 1 and will provide them with adequate knowledge to pass their Regulatory Examination.

Module 8: Regulated record-keeping obligations
Module 9: Accounting and auditing requirements
Module 10: The FIC Act, money laundering and terrorist financing control regulations for the FSP
Module 11: Complaints submitted to the Ombud for FSPs
Module 12: The role of the Representative in terms of the FAIS Act
Module 13: The appointment of Representatives
Module 14: The debarment of Representatives
Who should complete the course?
Learners preparing for the Regulatory Examination 1 (RE1) should complete this course. This includes ‘Key Individuals and sole proprietors in all Categories responsible for managing and overseeing a business relating to the rendering of financial services for FSPs in Category I, II, IIA, III and IV’ (https://www.fsca.co.za/Regulated%20Entities/Pages/LR-FAIS.aspx). These
learners should be familiar with the RE1 terminology, possess high-level proficiency in English and be adequately computer literate.
